FAQs
These are our top FAQs, if you have a questions that you can't see here, have a look at our full FAQs page or get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
Yes of course, we have two main options for this:
If you choose our beePro service, our fantastic team can attend your event with our Apple iPad bidding tablets connected to our dedicated auction Wi-Fi. Guests can register, view, and bid for items without having to leave their tables, and watch their bids flash up on the leaderboards.
If you would like to run your event totally online yourself (in venues with good Wi-Fi or phone signal), you can choose our beeFree service. When you include 10 or more exciting buzz items in your auction, this service is free of charge, and we will provide you with QR codes to use at your live event so that bidders can easily access the auction on their phones.
If you are interested in running a silent auction alongside a live event, please contact the team at support@jumblebee.co.uk for further details.
2.5% +VAT of the total ticket sales
The fee for an online auction is 5% +VAT of the total winning bids.
There are three different ways to manage payments from buyers or winning bidders:
The first option is that jumblebee collects payment for you. This means that at the conclusion of your auction, all your winners will receive an email that includes a payment link, and they can pay through our payment provider Stripe. The card fees are 2.4% + 20p per transaction, and all auction winners are given the option to donate this fee back to your cause. Funds are held in an FCA regulated client account and transferred across to your nominated bank account when all payments have been collected.
The second option would be to collect payment yourself, directly, via Bank Transfer or otherwise. The winners at the end of your auction will still receive a winner’s email, which can be edited to include the details where they can send their money and a request for a specific reference on the payment, to help you keep track so that you know which prizes can be released.
The third option is to collect via PayPal. Simply enter the email associated with the PayPal account you wish to collect the money in, and, at the conclusion of your auction, your winning bidder email will include a PayPal payment link. PayPal also has associated transaction costs, which can be found online.
To be able to hold a prize draw on jumblebee, you will need to set up a ticket shop first (see above details), then contact support@jumblebee.co.uk for guidance.
